Village Baker is a fast, casual, take-out restaurant. They offer home-style sandwiches, gourmet pizza, salads, soups and desserts. Their treats are some of their best sellers, “like Grandma’s Brownies made with marshmallows, nuts and a creamy, from-scratch icing” explained Worth and Melissa McCleery, President and Vice President of Village Baker, Inc.
Their style of cooking is simple and authentic. Using all of the freshest ingredients available, they don’t take shortcuts with any products. For example, their pizza sauce is made from all natural ingredients with no preservatives; each bread is made daily on-site for the freshest sandwiches possible. Every treat and dessert is made from scratch with Dutch processed cocoa, real butter, high quality chocolate and the best frosting they can make. “To sum it up, we cook like your grandma did in the 1950s, back before everything was convenient and prepackaged.”
“We genuinely appreciate our customers and the choice they make to come into our restaurant. We want to give them the same great experience and high standards of baking that we would want ourselves. It’s not just something we say or that sounds good; we really believe it.”
