The Shore Lodge is an authentic Idaho destination for those in search of nature’s true luxuries. Located in McCall Idaho, it has been a quintessential lodging experience for the area since 1949. Located within the lodge is their restaurant, The Narrows. This restaurant has spellbinding views of Payette Lake through floor-to-ceiling windows and their fine dining courses encompass Pacific Northwest cuisine. Executive Chef Topple explains The Narrows as one of five restaurants overseen for the Shore Lodge. They use local and fresh ingredients sourced as close to McCall as possible. The menu was created around these ingredients, as well as a love for the Pacific Northwest. The most popular dishes served are unique, such as steaks and wild game dishes. The North American Elk Chop is a best seller and you can find local game like buffalo and fresh fish as well.
Chef Topple believes there is no “secret” to success at The Narrows, because a hardworking, hands-on team is no secret. From the kitchen crew to the front-of-house staff, they work together to meet the high standards of service set. When asked why diners love the restaurant, his response was, “Our diners appreciate the high quality food, exemplary service, and memorable experiences that The Narrows offers.” It is apparent that the level of care taken in both the cuisine and service do not go unnoticed by the patrons of both the Shore Lodge and The Narrows.
