Healing Honey Infusions

Honey is one of nature’s miracles. A bee can fly to thousands of flowers to create just one spoonful, and with that much work, it has to be amazing. Honey is a delicious ingredient in recipes, but also has plenty of other uses you may not know about.  It has antibacterial properties and works as a humectant to keep things moist. It soothes a cough or sore throat and makes your tea exceptionally better. Whether you’re using it as a sweetener, or trying to kick a cough, honey is just plain useful.

While the original flavor of honey itself is tasty, kick it up a notch with the following honey infusions for a fun twist customers will notice.

For each of the below honey infusions:

Pour the honey into a saucepan and add the infusing ingredient. Mix well and ensure that it is completely submerged in the honey. Warm for about 10 minutes, making sure to keep the heat relatively low to avoid burning. Let sit for 1-2 hours or up to 1-2 weeks (the longer it sits, the stronger the taste). After infusion, strain if you would like, and store in a glass jar with a tightly fitting top.
